A Celebration of You!

 YOU Are MORE!!!

In the hubbub of the week,  we are often caught up in the doing,  the obligations,  the fears, the “I-am-not-enoughness”, etc, etc. of life.   We forget our magnificence.  So,  today, I am offering a few fun reminders of how amazing we truly are!  Enjoy reading about us – enjoy reading about YOU!

Do you know that….

The heart beats about 3 billion times in the average person’s lifetime

The average adult is made up of 100 trillion cells

Messages travel along the nerves as electrical impulses. They travel at speeds up to 248 miles per hour

The average number of thoughts that humans are believed to experience each day is 70,000

Every time you recall a memory or have a new thought, you are creating a new connection in your brain

YOU are even MORE!

“I am the captain of my soul.” -Nelson Mandela

“Nothing can dim the light which shines from within.”  -Maya Angelou

“You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You’re on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the one who’ll decide where to go…” -Dr. Seuss

“We do not need magic to transform our world. We carry all of the power we need inside ourselves already.” -J.K. Rowling

“The things that make me different are the things that make me.” -A.A. Milne (Winnie the Pooh)

“We choose our thoughts, our focus, our beliefs, our lives!”  -Joan Kappes

“Who you really are is really bright and smart with really good timing and wonderful intuitiveness and wonderful uplifting abilities.   Who you are is one who loves easily and thinks openly and expands profusely!  Who you really are is someone who adores life and who loves yourself and loves others – that’s who you really are!  Who you really are is an up lifter and an optimistic being who adores being here and who just cannot wait to get your hands in the creative clay of your life experience; because you know who you are and who you are is so wonderful.  Worthiness is not an issue.  You just expect wonderful things to happen to you and wonderful things have been happening to you and you know that wonderful things are continuing to happen.  That’s who you are….” -Abraham

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square hole. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.” -Apple Computer Inc.

“We are the music-makers.  We are the dreamers of dreams.  We are the movers and shakers of the world”.  –Arthur

Today’s “leaping” exercise:  Copy the quote below (in your handwriting) and attach to your bathroom mirror.  Enjoy reading it everyday – it is a powerful reminder of who you really are!  (If you don’t quite believe it yet, repeat and repeat and repeat.  In time, you will!)

“I am the music maker; I am the dreamer of dreams.  I am a mover and shaker in the world.  I am an adventurer who eagerly comes to “The Edge” and leaps into the world of my dreams”.  I am living my life!”
